My school holidays,

Well, they’re doing just fine.

I marathoned TV shows and

Lost track of time.

God it’s nice to have a break

From everything I hate about school.

But from the back of the desk emerges a sheet written in red.

You said you’d do me yesterday, but you watched Game of Thrones instead!

My holiday homework

creeped back up on me.

I spent my time relaxing

But now I’m not so free

To do what I want

‘Cause this stuff needs doing.

But those DVDs look tempting,

I guess I won’t be subduing my homework tonight.

2 hours in and

The pile hasn’t gotten smaller.

I wanna be somewhere else,

Perhaps on tumblr.

I’ll quickly check my dashboard

Just for a quick reward.

But from under my arm leaps up a textbook from class.

You need to do this work ‘cause you’re surely not gonna pass!
